OFTEN IMITATED, NEVER DUPLICATED

We've been doing pizza since before pizza was cool. We started in 1956. Our first shop was owned by Arthur Portwood at the corner of 13th and Fletcher Street here in Anderson. In the 60’s we moved to the corner of Broadway and Vineyard Avenue. We sold so much pizza out of that little building, with only five tables in it, that we couldn't even count it. Harold Portwood, also known as Pooch, and Linnea Portwood, also known as Dolly, owned this location for around four decades. In 1996 we moved a block north to the location where we now seat 150. Harold's daughter Nayleen and her husband Scott have owned and operated this restaurant since Pooch and Dolly passed. In 2010 we opened a second location on Scatterfield Road in front of Walmart. We've come a long way since 1956 and we're getting better every day. We've lasted this long in the restaurant industry for a reason. We do things the right way! We make many of our own fresh ingredients every day from the dough to the fresh Italian sausage and roast beef. Here at Art's, we make sure you never leave hungry and always get what you pay for!
